We contribute new transcriptomic data from eleven taxa and reconstruct phylogenetic relationships of Ulvophyceae . Our phylogeny based on a broad taxonomic scale (69 species) and large number of nuclear genes (884 genes) provides a solid framework to shed light on evolution timescale of ulvophyceans.
